This book is unique. It tells the true story about all the behind the scenes activity involved in the search for Raoul Wallenberg.
It starts with seeking the release of Wallenberg’s prison records from the Soviet Union, where the idea originated, why it was important, how it was done, and the background of the impartial investigation which followed. In addition it exposes the people who tried to prevent the truth, the reasons why, who confronted them, and those who worked tirelessly on behalf of this great hero.
I know because this is my story.
This story had its humble beginnings in Glen Cove and Sea Cliff, Long Island. This book will demonstrate what an individual can accomplish if they are dedicated, imaginative, courageous, and compassionate. Further, the book extends into the future by advocating implementation of lessons learned, avarice avoided, and compassionate lifestyles adopted.
This book is timely. It is especially valuable in today’s troubled times. Current times are characterized by terrorism; alienation, on both personal and national levels; and deterioration in both infrastructure and diplomacy. This book promotes civility, respect, and dialogue. It builds bridges, not walls. It is unifying, and inspiring, selfless, not selfish, idealistic, not materialistic. It is life affirming, and seeks to make the world a better place.
This is not just about a book, or just about the inspiration of the selfless heroism of Raoul Wallenberg, it is a movement. It is a worldwide movement.
The purpose of this book is to generate funds to create and maintain Raoul Wallenberg Vegan International, and Raoul Wallenberg Vegan Retreat in South Florida. These are a 50lc3 non-profit charity created and designed to promote the compassionate vegan lifestyle.
The Vegan Retreat (
www.VeganRetreat.org ) hopes to influence readers, and the general public, to adopt Raoul Wallenberg’s example of selfless compassion, and to adopt this in dealing with each other, and other sentient beings in non-violent, just, and peaceful ways.
Vegan International (
www.VeganInternational.org) has applied for consultative status to the United Nations to join as a Non Governmental Organization (NGO). The purpose is to influence and promote compassionate practices world-wide. The website will be in the six official United Nations languages. There will be a quarterly Newsletter offered to all 193 nations affiliated with the United Nations, as well as interested organizations and individuals worldwide.
Further, the Raoul Wallenberg Vegan Retreat and Vegan International hope to cause a paradine shift in this and in the relationship between people and their environment through knowledge of, and implementation of, solutions to Climate Change, and use of Sustainable Energy.
